Our team project is to paint a home for my friend Anne who has Burkitts Cancer. Anne was scheduled to be in the hospital for a round of chemo during CIA but was released early the morning of. This made it possible for Anne to see the progress made on her home and to meet all the people on her team. She got to witness first hand God’s love for her.
It is amazing to see how God works. A week and a half before the project I was wondering how we were going to pay for all the materials to fix the rotten wood and how the work would get done. I needed skilled carpenters to replace rotten wood especially on the chimney that needed to be completely redone. Window sills, soffits, brick mold, and decorative trim all needed to be replaced. But God orchestrated it all from bringing the donations (including all paint and painting supples donated by Sherwin Williams) to people loaning us tools and equipment to bringing the workers to work on this project. We had an amazing day and an amazing group of people.
One of the many cool things that happened that day was a neighbor of Anne’s who owns a painting company saw what we were doing and has offered to donate a day of painting. God truely is amazing!
